With the many social media to choose from – Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, to name a few – the attention of Facebook Page followers is more divided than ever. That is why it is important to offer your subscribers content that is varied and original, so they continue to interact with your posts.
The multidisciplinary team at Mechanic Web Services makes every effort to diversify the types of posts published on the social networks of our valuable clients, which include garages, auto centres and auto parts stores. Our goal: increase the number of subscribers, retain those already acquired and multiply the interactions of the posts published on the Facebook pages we manage.
7 Types of Posts
Here are the 7 types of posts we use to generate interactions with subscribers of the Facebook pages and Instagram accounts we manage for our garage, auto centre and auto parts store clients:
- Authentic and ‘field’ content. Nothing speaks louder than actual photos and videos. Subscribers identify a lot with your business when they see real people presenting events related to it, such as birthdays, staff promotion notices, trainings and new customers.
- Informational Content. Information and knowledge are the greatest gifts you can give your customers. The more they know about a specific field of activity, the more they will be receptive to your offers. In addition, your role as an expert in that field will be solidified.
- Humorous content. Everyone needs a little more humour in their life, especially now. Remember that it is wise to stay away from political or religious opinions. It is always important that the content be respectful and entertaining.
- Questions to the audience. Simple questions are often an easy way to engage the community in conversation and a call to action. After that, the best practice is to connect with followers by responding to all comments as much as possible, by giving ‘likes’ and adding responses.
- An engaging message. Subscribers like to position themselves. Don’t hesitate to take polls or ask questions, such as: “Do you prefer,” “Team this or that”, etc.
- Show support for others. Tagging (identifying) a local business or organization can increase the reach of your own business and attract more followers.
- Advertising content. Advertising on social media can support many purposes, such as increasing followers, highlighting a specific post, getting more phone calls, and featuring a job offer or a promotional offer.
Also, remember that it is essential to be consistent in posting on Facebook and/or other social media. “Our knowledge of digital communications and the automotive aftermarket sector makes us partners for our garage, auto centre and auto parts store clients,” notes Véronique Chedore-Cantin, English-language market Account Manager at Mechanic Web Services.
