Mapidea is currently conducting an aggressive telemarketing campaign among Canadian businesses to offer them Google My Business profile management services. This company is subject to several complaints that have been reported on the Google My Business discussion forum.

Mapidea seems to use fear as a sales strategy. They are leading entrepreneurs to believe that their Google My Business profile is not visible on Google Maps. This statement is inaccurate since Google Maps uses the information from Google My Business to power its platform. Mapidea's personnel will ask their clients to transfer the sole administration of their GMB profile, which is not a good practice. In addition, Google+ is included in their package, which Google shut down in 2019. Another indication that questions the provider’s reliability is the poor translation of their website into French.
